Reflections

Tailor

When you look in the mirror, say hello to your reflection. Compliment it, embrace it. What do you see when looking at your reflection? Moreover, what do you see in yourself staring at your reflection? Do see you beauty, athleticism, personality? Now let me ask you something, “do you criticize your reflection?” When gazing at the reflective light, do you think “wow I need to lose weight,” or do you arch your back thinking “I need a bigger butt.” It’s very typical to wish for something, but don’t mentally (or physically) hurt yourself for something you don’t have. Appreciate what you have, as someone else is envying what you don’t consider “pretty/handsome.” There is no need tailor yourself for someone else’s benefit, most importantly yourself. Look in the mirror and think “wow my hair looks really nice today” or “huh, I never realized how fearless I am” and even “yeah, I don’t care what other people think about me.” Next time when you’re looking at the reflection, say hi and remind it how amazing you are. Focus on your 97 right, instead of dramatizing the 3 wrong. One last thing, when you realize someone else’s beauty, tell them. They probably dislike their height, and don’t notice that being six feet tall is not a terrible thing.

Sincerely,

Sophia

P.S. Sorry for not posting in a few days. I will be terribly busy this month, but will try and post as much as I can.
